Whilst its a quiet start to the week it seems a fair time to update results. September also saw the end of the first full 12 months for Elite and you'll find both the monthly and yearly figures below;
September Points P&L = +6.34 September P&L to £50 a point = £371.03 September ROI = 7.44% Annual Points P&L = +241.4 Annual P&L to £50 a point = £11,745 Annual ROI = 18.65% A slower than normal month in September but we made profit which is the important thing and means we end the year with 11/12 months profit, with the only losing month April where we lost -0.5pt. Overall throughout the year, as the results graph shows on the results page, we have been continuously on an upward and steady curve and have ended with a very healthy amount of profit. September was quieter than the majority of other months throughout the year tipping wise and this was mainly due to the flat season winding down but the jumps season not quite up and fully running, meaning fewer betting propositions - the other month similar to this is April where the jumps slows down but the flat isn't fully up and running yet. Going forward, October sees the jumps season get in to full swing along with a few final big races on the flat such as Champions Day at Ascot and we should have several betting opportunities coming up. We have been working hard studying and having several discussions with our various contacts over the past few weeks and are confident of another profitable jumps season and second year of the service. August monthly summary;
Monthly Profit and Loss (£50 a point) = +£371 Monthly points Profit and Loss = +7.43 Monthly ROI = +6.66% Overall Profit and Loss (£50 a point Since Oct 2015) = +£11,745 Overall Points P&L (Since October 2015) = +234.9 Overall ROI = +19.20% August made it 10/11 profitable months since we started tipping but it wasn't without its challenges. A poor and luckless run at the start of the month left us 16 points down on the 12th despite beating various prices (10/1 into 15/8 springs to mind) and it took a fantastic second half of the month with nearly 30 points profit from that point onward to claw us back for yet another profitable month. August really highlighted the need for discipline and a staking plan and highlighted that bad runs can happen but with the use of both of these we've creditably won profit again. We have now made 235 points profit in 11 months, something that firstly we're delighted with and secondly is very competitive with other horse racing tipsters out there. September is still young but we've made a very encouraging start with roughly 7 points profit in the first 3 days, hopefully this can continue and we can have an excellent profitable month again. July Monthly Summary;
Monthly Profit and Loss (£50 a point) = +£1737.50 Monthly points Profit and Loss = +34.75 Monthly ROI = +27.52% Overall Profit and Loss (£50 a point Since Oct 2015) = +£11,226.09 Overall Points P&L (Since October 2015) = +227.47 Overall ROI = +20.47% Spreadsheet attached. July was another very profitable and pleasing month winning just under 35 points profit. After the first week where we hit the post a few times we got up and running and never looked back following a massive weekend (8th and 9th) where we won over 20 points in 2 days and then steadily built on that for the rest of the month and with a very good ROI too at 27%. The first half of August has obviously been very tough, 15 days doesn't make long term profit though and these blips do happen in gambling and especially horse racing betting, if they didnt then every man and his dog would be doing it! There's a big week ahead with the Ebor meeting at York (we already have 3 antepost bets for example) and we're hopeful we can turn the month around and make it a profitable one. Rest assured that nothing from our end has changed and we're still doing the same selection processes that have made us over 227 points profit since October and we have absolutely no doubt we will continue to make long term profit. Over 20 points profit at the weekend saw us smash through the 200 point barrier since October!

June 2016; Monthly Points P&L = +59.95 Monthly P&L in £ (£50 a point) = +£2997.32 Monthly Return on Investment (ROI) = +61.48% Overall Points P&L (Since inception 22nd October 2015) = +192.72 Overall Profit in £ since October 2015 (£50 a point) = +£9488.59 Overall Return on investment (ROI) since October 2015 = +19.55% With almost 60 points profit and ROI at over 60% for the month, June for Elite has been exceptional by any horse racing tipping service's standards. There were numerous highlights throughout the month, probably most notable was a fantastic Royal Ascot week in which we landed an array of winners in big races including a few at double figure prices and continued our strong antepost record. We ended the 5 days of Ascot recording 22.69 points profit, another big meeting we've came out well from. June became our most successful month since starting up back in October and of course this is something we're delighted with as we aim to continuously improve our service and obviously better our results all the time. Hopefully another good month in July. Royal Ascot Review;
Points Profit and Loss for Royal Ascot week = +22.69 A great week at Royal Ascot, arguably the biggest single week of the flat season. Over the 5 days we made just over 22 points profit which is obviously extremely pleasing including having numerous big winners such as; Twilight Son (7/1), Ribchester (11/1), Qemah (7/1), Profitable (4/1). The one disappointing race of the week was getting the Gold Cup wrong but we live and learn and it ultimately didn't stop us from having a great week overall. June has been very profitable so far and we're currently on for our best month since starting the service and hopefully that continues for the remainder of the month and of course indefinitely going forward. May 2016 Summary and Figures; May 2016 Summary; Monthly Points P&L = +3.52 Monthly P&L in £ (£50 a point) = +£176.04 Monthly ROI = +3.16% Overall Points P&L (Since inception October 2015) = +132.77 Overall Profit in £ since October 2015 (£50 a point) = +£6491.27 Overall ROI since October 2015 = +14.00% Not a vintage month by any means but profit is profit and we take the 3.5 points and move on. Similar issues to the start of the flat season in April with some horses needing the run etc prevented us from really kicking on and led to a scratchy, hard work of a month. Flat season is well up and running now, hopefully we've turned the corner with a great first half of June and we look forward to Royal Ascot starting tomorrow, huge week of racing to come. Great couple of days, nice to be back on track. Of the 4 races that we had selections in at Epsom we had 4 winners, including the Oaks and the Derby.
Appreciate everyone's patience over the last 6 weeks or so, it's been a difficult transition period from the jumps to the flat season (harder than we thought it would be if I'm honest) but the flat form book is now developing. 22 points up for June so far and today takes us over 150 points since we started in October, nothing wrong with that by any standards. April 2016 Summary;
Monthly Points P&L = -0.54 Monthly P&L in £ (£50 a point) = -26.93 Monthly ROI = -0.30% Overall Points P&L (Since inception October 2015) = +129.25 Overall Profit in £ since October 2015 (£50 a point) = +6465.63 Overall ROI since October 2015 = 15.85% As the figures highlight, this was our toughest month to date ending with a very small loss of half a point. It obviously goes without saying that this isn't ideal and it becomes our first losing month in the 7 months we've been up and running. However putting it in to context it isn't a disaster, losing half a point for one month out of 7 and the other 6 being profitable in the grand scheme of aiming for long term profit isn't the end of the world. One of the main obstacles we struggled to overcome in April and in turn led us to struggle was the judgement of how race fit horses were. April saw the end of the jumps season where there were big upsets and big priced winners at the Punchestown festival (this was a general theme at Punchestown not just for us). This mainly being due to horses having hard races at the Cheltenham Festival, Aintree Festival and then not running to their full ability at the end of the season at Punchestown. Along with this we had the start of the flat season where by the opposite was true, we had some frustrating results with horses that were lacking in race fitness. Obviously this is hard to judge as each horse is different - some need a run for fitness, some don't and some horses can have tough races at cheltenham, aintree and Punchestown and run fine others cant. After looking back at the figures, selections and results over the last few days whilst finishing the spreadsheet, we're considerably still in profit overall, tougher months and small blips are bound to happen in gambling and whilst we can learn lessons from April I have no doubt that we'll continue to make long term profit going forward. The first 10 days or so of May have been good and its good to be moving on. March 2016 Summary;
Monthly points profit and loss = +39.07 Monthly profit and loss (to £50 per point) = +£1953.39 Monthly ROI% = +36.77% Overall points profit & loss since inception in October = +129.79 Overall profit and loss (to £50 per point) = +£6492.16 Overall ROI% since inception in October = +20.38% March has been our best month to date with exceptional results both in terms of P&L and ROI. The month has included a great Cheltenham week and consistent profit either side. A profitable March now means this is 6 months making considerable and consecutive profit, which we're delighted about. As has always been the case please be sure to remain disciplined and stick to affordable stakes, there will be highs and lows within horse racing betting but discipline really is the key to long term profit.
